Vacuum Sealing

Remove air from packaging to extend freezer and pantry shelf life and prevent freezer burn.

📋 Step-by-step
1

Pre-freeze soft or wet foods (berries, fish fillets) on a tray before vacuum sealing.

2

Place food in a vacuum-seal bag with the opening aligned in the machine.

3

Run the vacuum and seal cycle per your machine instructions.

4

Label with contents and date.

5

Store frozen, refrigerated, or at room temperature depending on the food type.

💡 Helpful tips
  • Leave space at the top of bags for the seal.
  • Use textured bags designed for your machine brand.
  • Vacuum sealing is not a substitute for canning or refrigeration of perishables.
⚠️ Safety note
Vacuum-sealed garlic-in-oil and some low-acid foods can support botulism at room temperature. Refrigerate or freeze vacuum-sealed perishables.
