Paneer Tikka Masala
Paneer Tikka Masala is a classic Indian dish featuring soft, marinated paneer cubes grilled to perfection and cooked in a rich, creamy tomato-based gravy. Bursting with aromatic spices, it’s a perfect combination of smoky, tangy, and mildly spiced flavors that pairs wonderfully with naan, roti, or steamed rice.
Cooking Method
- Marinate Paneer: In a bowl, mix paneer cubes with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric, garam masala, and salt. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Grill Paneer: Heat a skillet or oven and lightly grill the marinated paneer until golden brown on all sides. Set aside.
- Prepare Gravy: In a pan, heat oil and sauté chopped onions until translucent. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Add Tomatoes & Spices: Blend fresh tomatoes into a puree and add to the pan along with red chili powder, turmeric, coriander powder, and garam masala. Cook until oil separates from the masala.
- Creamy Finish: Add cream or cashew paste to the tomato gravy, stirring well to form a smooth, rich sauce.
- Combine & Simmer: Add the grilled paneer cubes to the gravy and simmer for 5-7 minutes for the flavors to meld.
- Garnish & Serve: Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with naan, roti, or steamed rice.
