Masala Chai (Spiced Tea)
Masala Chai is a traditional Indian spiced tea, loved for its rich aroma and comforting warmth. Made with black tea, ginger, and a medley of spices like cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon, this beverage is perfectly balanced with milk and sugar. Ideal for cozy mornings or relaxing evenings, Masala Chai can be customized with your preferred milk for a personal touch.
Cooking Method
- In a small saucepan, add 1 cup of water and bring it to a boil.
- Add crushed spices (cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, black pepper) and a slice of fresh ginger. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Add 1 teaspoon of black tea leaves and boil for another 1–2 minutes.
- Pour in ½ cup of milk (or your choice of milk) and simmer for 3–4 minutes until the tea is infused with spices.
- Sweeten with sugar or honey according to taste.
- Strain the tea into cups to remove the spices and tea leaves.
- Serve hot and enjoy the soothing aroma and flavor of Masala Chai.
