Coffee Cinnamon Buns
Coffee Cinnamon Buns are soft, fluffy sweet rolls infused with rich coffee flavor and swirled with warm cinnamon sugar. These aromatic buns combine the comforting taste of classic cinnamon rolls with a subtle coffee kick, making them perfect for breakfast, brunch, or an indulgent afternoon treat. Topped with a light glaze, they are irresistibly soft, fragrant, and perfect alongside a hot cup of coffee or tea.
Cooking Method
- In a bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and a teaspoon of sugar. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until frothy.
- Add flour, remaining sugar, melted butter, brewed coffee, and salt to form a soft dough. Knead for about 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface. Spread softened butter over it and sprinkle cinnamon sugar evenly.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into equal slices.
- Arrange the buns in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise again for 20–30 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
- Drizzle with a simple glaze or coffee icing and serve warm.
