Simple Blueberry Galette is a rustic, free-form tart bursting with juicy blueberries and lightly sweetened with sugar. With a buttery, flaky crust and tender fruit filling, this easy-to-make dessert is perfect for brunch, tea time, or a casual dinner treat. Its rustic charm makes it a beautiful centerpiece, and the simple preparation allows the fresh flavor of blueberries to shine.

Cooking Method

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll out the chilled pie dough on a floured surface into a rough circle about 12 inches in diameter.
Place the dough on the prepared baking sheet.
In a bowl, mix blueberries, sugar, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Toss gently to coat.
Pile the blueberry mixture in the center of the dough, leaving a 2-inch border around the edges.
Fold the edges of the dough over the filling, pleating as needed to create a rustic edge.
Brush the crust with an egg wash and sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 35–40 minutes until the crust is golden and the filling is bubbly. Cool slightly before serving.
