Earl Grey and Cardamom Banana Bread is a fragrant and elegant twist on classic banana bread, combining the citrusy aroma of Earl Grey tea with the warm spice of cardamom. The natural sweetness of ripe bananas pairs beautifully with delicate tea notes, creating a moist, tender loaf with a sophisticated flavor profile. Perfect for breakfast, afternoon tea, or a cozy dessert, this unique banana bread offers comfort with a gourmet touch. 

Cooking Method
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease or line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  • Warm the milk slightly and steep the Earl Grey tea bag in it for 5 minutes, then remove the tea bag and let it cool.
  • In a bowl, mash ripe bananas until smooth.
  • Add sugar, eggs, melted butter, and the infused milk to the bananas and mix well.
  • In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, ground cardamom, and a pinch of salt.
  • Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the surface.
  • Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the bread to cool before slicing and serving.
