Cabbage Parathas (Patta Gobi Paratha)
Cabbage Parathas, also known as Patta Gobi Paratha, are soft, flavorful Indian flatbreads stuffed with spiced cabbage filling. Perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, these parathas are healthy, wholesome, and a delicious way to enjoy vegetables. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, they pair well with yogurt, pickle, or chutney.
Cooking Method
- Prepare the Dough: Combine whole wheat flour, a pinch of salt, and water to knead a smooth, soft dough. Let it rest for 20–30 minutes.
- Make the Filling: Grate cabbage and squeeze out excess water. Mix with green chilies, ginger, cumin seeds, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt.
- Stuff the Paratha: Roll out a small portion of dough, place the cabbage filling in the center, fold the edges, and roll gently into a flat circle.
- Cook: Heat a skillet or tawa on medium heat. Cook the paratha, applying a little oil or ghee, until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
- Serve: Serve hot with yogurt, pickle, or chutney.
