Khus Syrup | Khus Sharbat Recipe
Khus Sharbat is a traditional Indian cooling drink made from khus (vetiver) syrup. Known for its natural fragrance and refreshing flavor, it’s perfect for hot summer days. Cooking Method
- Rinse and clean fresh khus roots thoroughly.
- Boil 2 cups of water and add khus roots, letting them simmer for 10 minutes to extract the flavor.
- Strain the khus water into a bowl.
- Add sugar (or jaggery) to the hot khus water and stir until fully dissolved.
- Allow the syrup to cool completely, then store in a clean bottle.
- To serve, mix 2–3 tbsp of khus syrup in a glass of chilled water or soda.
- Garnish with ice cubes and a few mint leaves. Serve immediately.
