Perfect for quenching thirst on hot summer days, this syrup-based beverage combines tangy lemon flavor with natural sweetness. Cooking Method
- Wash and scrub lemons thoroughly. Extract the juice from 6–8 lemons.
- In a pan, add sugar (1 cup) and ½ cup water. Heat until sugar dissolves completely to make a simple syrup.
- Let the syrup cool completely.
- Mix the lemon juice into the cooled syrup. Add a pinch of salt (optional) to enhance flavor.
- Transfer the lemon syrup into a clean bottle and store in the refrigerator.
- To serve, mix 2–3 tbsp of lemon syrup in a glass of chilled water or soda.
- Garnish with ice cubes and a slice of lemon for a refreshing drink.
