Chicken Puffs

Chicken Puffs are flaky, golden pastries filled with a flavorful, spiced chicken mixture. Perfect as an appetizer, party snack, or tea-time treat, these puffs combine crispy puff pastry with a savory, tender filling, making them irresistible and easy to serve. They are a crowd-pleasing snack for all occasions. 

Cooking Method

 

Prepare Filling: In a pan, sauté finely chopped onions, garlic, and ginger until soft. Add cooked, shredded chicken, spices (like garam masala, black pepper, and chili powder), salt, and a little cream or milk. Cook until well combined and slightly thickened. Let it cool.

Prepare Puff Pastry: Roll out store-bought or homemade puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut into squares or rectangles.

Fill and Fold: Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture in the center of each pastry square. Fold into triangles or rectangles and seal the edges with a fork.

Egg Wash: Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden, shiny finish.

Bake: Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and puffed.

Cool Slightly: Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Serve: Enjoy warm with ketchup, chutney, or a dipping sauce of your choice.
