Cooking Method

 

  1. Mash beans: In a large bowl, mash black beans until mostly smooth, leaving some chunks for texture.
  2. Mix ingredients: Add chopped roasted red pepper, breadcrumbs, dairy-free cheese, onion, smoked paprika, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form patties: Shape the mixture into 4–6 burger patties.
  4. Cook burgers: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side, until golden and crispy.
  5. Assemble: Serve burgers on buns with lettuce, tomato, vegan mayo, or any preferred toppings.
  6. Optional baking: Alternatively, bake patties at 200°C (400°F) for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway.
  7. Serve: Serve hot as a main dish or snack.
