Omajova Mushrooms are a prized seasonal delicacy in Namibia. These large wild mushrooms, also known as termite mushrooms, grow naturally around termite mounds during the rainy season and are highly valued for their rich, earthy flavor and meaty texture.

Cooking Method
- Clean the Omajova mushrooms thoroughly and slice them into bite-sized pieces.
- Heat the oil or butter in a large frying pan over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft and golden.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for 8–10 minutes.
- Stir occasionally until the mushrooms release their moisture.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and paprika if using.
- Season with salt and black pepper.
- Continue cooking for another 5–7 minutes until the tomatoes soften.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
