This easy homemade paneer recipe is perfect for anyone looking to create authentic Indian dishes from scratch. 

Cooking Method


  1.  Pour the milk into a large pot and bring it to a gentle boil over medium heat. 
  2.  Stir occasionally to prevent the milk from sticking to the bottom. 
  3.  Once the milk begins to boil, reduce the heat to low. 
  4.  Gradually add the lemon juice or vinegar while stirring gently. 
  5.  Continue stirring until the milk curdles and the whey separates from the curds. 
  6.  Remove the pot from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes. 
  7.  Line a colander with cheesecloth and pour the curds into it. 
  8.  Rinse the curds under cold water to remove the acidic taste. 
  9.  Gather the cheesecloth and squeeze out excess liquid. 
  10.  Place a heavy object on top and press for 30–60 minutes until firm. 
  11.  Remove from the cheesecloth and cut into cubes. 
  12.  Use immediately or refrigerate for later use.
