Plain Curd
Plain Curd is a fresh, creamy, and nutritious dairy product made by fermenting milk with beneficial bacteria. It is a staple in Indian households and is enjoyed on its own or served with rice, parathas, curries, and spicy meals. Rich in probiotics, calcium, and protein, plain curd supports digestion and promotes overall health.
Cooking Method
- Boil the milk and let it cool until it is warm (not hot).
- Add the plain curd (starter culture) and mix gently.
- Cover the container with a lid.
- Keep it in a warm place for 6–8 hours or overnight until set.
- Once the curd is firm, refrigerate it for a few hours.
- Serve chilled as it is or with your favorite meal.
- Store in the refrigerator and consume within 2–3 days.
