Step 1: Prepare Batter
In a bowl, mix flour, cornflour, yogurt, and baking soda. Add a little water to make a smooth, thick batter. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
Step 2: Prepare Sugar Syrup
In a pan, add sugar and water. Cook until slightly sticky. Add cardamom powder for flavor and keep the syrup warm.
Step 3: Fill Bottle or Piping Bag
Pour the batter into a squeeze bottle or piping bag for easy shaping.
Step 4: Fry Jalebis
Heat oil in a pan. Squeeze the batter in spiral shapes directly into hot oil. Fry on medium heat until golden and crispy.
Step 5: Soak in Syrup
Immediately transfer hot jalebis into warm sugar syrup. Let them soak for 1–2 minutes.
Step 6: Remove & Drain
Take out jalebis and place on a rack or plate to drain excess syrup.
Step 7: Serve Hot
Serve hot and crispy for the best taste.
