Authentic Indian Malai Kebab Recipe | Creamy Chicken Malai Kabab
Indian Malai Kebab, also known as Chicken Malai Kabab, is a rich and creamy North Indian appetizer made with tender pieces of chicken marinated in fresh cream, yogurt, cheese, garlic, ginger, and aromatic spices. The word Malai means "cream," which perfectly describes the kebab's signature velvety texture and mild, luxurious flavor. Traditionally cooked in a tandoor, these juicy kebabs can also be grilled, baked, or pan-seared at home. Served with mint chutney, onion rings, and lemon wedges, Malai Kebab is a popular choice for parties, family gatherings, and festive meals.
Cooking Method
- In a large bowl, combine the cream, yogurt, grated cheese, garlic, ginger, green chilies, cornstarch, black pepper, cardamom, garam masala, salt, and melted butter.

- Cover and refrigerate for 1–4 hours for the best flavor.
- Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers.

- Garnish with fresh cilantro.
- Serve with onion rings, lemon wedges, and mint chutney.
