Cooking Method


  1.  Heat palm oil in a pot over medium heat. 
  2.  Add chopped onions and sauté until soft. 
  3.  Add ground pepper and cook for a few minutes. 
  4.  Add meat or fish and cook until partially done. 
  5.  Stir in ground egusi and mix well. 
  6.  Add water or stock gradually and stir to avoid lumps. 
  7.  Cover and cook for 10–15 minutes until thickened. 
  8.  Add spinach or leafy greens. 
  9.  Season with salt and seasoning powder. 
  10.  Simmer for a few minutes and serve hot.
