Cooking Method
Heat the olive oil in a large soup pot over medium heat.

Add the lamb or beef and cook until lightly browned on all sides.
Mix in the tomato paste, grated tomatoes, harissa, cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, salt, and black pepper.
Cook for 3–4 minutes, stirring frequently to develop the flavors.
Pour in the broth and bring the soup to a gentle boil.
Add the cracked green wheat (frik) and chickpeas.
Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 45–50 minutes, or until the meat is tender and the frik is fully cooked.
