Cooking Method
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Thoroughly grease a 10-inch Bundt pan with butter and dust lightly with flour.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, flour, and melted butter to make the cinnamon swirl mixture.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar for 3–4 minutes until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.
- Add the dry ingredients in three additions, alternating with the sour cream and milk. Mix just until combined.
- Pour about half of the batter into the prepared Bundt pan and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon swirl mixture evenly over the batter, keeping it slightly away from the outer edge of the pan.
- Spoon the remaining batter over the cinnamon layer and gently smooth the top.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then carefully invert it onto a wire rack and cool completely.
- Whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled cake before slicing and serving.
