Kozhukattai is a traditional South Indian steamed sweet dumpling made with rice flour and filled with a delicious mixture of coconut and jaggery. It is especially popular during festivals and religious celebrations.
Prepare a soft dough by mixing rice flour with hot water and a pinch of salt.
For the filling, cook grated coconut and jaggery together until thick, then add cardamom powder.
Take a small portion of dough and flatten it into a small cup.
Add the coconut-jaggery filling and carefully seal the edges.
Place the dumplings in a steamer and steam for 10–12 minutes.
Allow them to cool slightly before serving.

Jaggery – ¾ cup
Water – 1½ cups
Cardamom powder – ½ teaspoon
Ghee – 1 teaspoon
