Paneer Do Pyaza is a rich and flavorful North Indian curry that is especially popular in Rajasthan. The dish features soft paneer cubes cooked with a generous amount of onions added in two stages, creating a unique balance of sweetness and savory flavor. Prepared with tomatoes, yogurt, and aromatic spices, Paneer Do Pyaza is a delicious vegetarian main course that pairs perfectly with naan, tandoori roti, paratha, or jeera rice.
Heat oil or ghee in a pan and sauté half of the sliced onions until golden brown.
Add ginger-garlic paste, chopped tomatoes, turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, and cook until the masala thickens.
Stir in yogurt and cook on low heat until well blended.
Add paneer cubes and the remaining onion petals to the gravy.
Sprinkle garam masala and mix gently without breaking the paneer.
Simmer for 5–7 minutes until the onions are slightly tender but still retain their crunch.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with Indian breads or rice.
