Freshly brewed black tea is blended with whole milk and coconut milk for a rich, balanced base. Sweet ube jam or ube halaya is mixed into the drink, creating its signature vibrant purple color and naturally sweet, vanilla-like flavor. 

Brown sugar-coated tapioca pearls add a chewy bite, while a swirl of whipped coconut cream on top enhances the drink with extra creaminess and tropical flavor. Every sip delivers a delightful combination of earthy ube, fragrant tea, and creamy coconut.

Cooking Method


  1.  Cook the tapioca pearls according to the package directions. Toss them with the brown sugar syrup and set aside. 
  2.  Bring the water to a boil, remove from the heat, and steep the black tea for 5–7 minutes. Remove the tea bags or strain the tea, then let it cool. 
  3.  In a blender or mixing pitcher, combine the cooled tea, whole milk, coconut milk, ube jam, and sweetened condensed milk. Blend or whisk until smooth and evenly colored. 
  4.  If making the topping, whip the heavy cream, coconut cream, and powdered sugar until soft peaks form. 
  5.  Fill two serving glasses with the brown sugar-coated tapioca pearls and ice cubes. 
  6.  Pour the ube milk tea over the ice. 
  7.  Spoon the coconut cream topping over the milk tea if desired. 
  8.  Garnish with toasted coconut flakes for extra texture and flavor. 
  9.  Serve immediately with a wide bubble tea straw and stir gently before drinking.
