Cream Horns Recipe | Crispy Puff Pastry Horns with Sweet Cream Filling
Cream Horns are a classic bakery pastry made with flaky, buttery puff pastry wrapped around cone molds, baked until golden, and filled with a light, sweet whipped cream or vanilla cream filling. Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, these elegant pastries are perfect for holidays, afternoon tea, parties, or dessert. Cooking Method
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease cream horn molds.
- Cut the puff pastry into 1-inch strips.
- Wrap each strip around a cream horn mold, slightly overlapping the edges.
- Brush with the beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar if desired.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
- Allow the pastry horns to cool completely before removing them from the molds.
- Beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar, vanilla, and cream cheese (if using) until stiff peaks form.
- Transfer the filling to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
- Pipe the cream into both ends of each pastry horn until completely filled.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve immediately or chill before serving.
