 Éclairs are classic French bakery pastries made with light and airy choux pastry filled with smooth cream and topped with a glossy layer of chocolate icing. Known for their elegant shape and rich flavor, these delicate desserts combine a crisp outer shell with a creamy filling. Éclairs are a popular choice for desserts, afternoon tea, and special occasions. 

Cooking Method

 

  1. Prepare choux pastry by heating water, butter, and salt, then mixing in flour to form a dough.
  2.  Add eggs gradually and mix until the dough becomes smooth and glossy. 
  3.  Pipe the dough into long, thin shapes on a baking tray. 
  4.  Bake at 180–190°C (355–375°F) for 25–30 minutes until puffed and golden. 
  5.  Cool the pastry shells completely before filling. 
  6.  Fill the éclairs with pastry cream or whipped cream using a piping bag. 
  7.  Top with chocolate glaze and allow it to set before serving.
