Turkish Manti | Traditional Turkish Dumplings with Garlic Yogurt
Turkish Manti are small, delicate dumplings filled with seasoned ground meat and served with a creamy garlic yogurt sauce and fragrant spiced butter. Often described as Turkish-style dumplings, Manti are a beloved comfort food in Turkish cuisine and are traditionally made by carefully folding small pieces of dough around a savory meat filling.
The dumplings are boiled until tender and then generously topped with garlicky yogurt. A warm butter sauce infused with paprika or red pepper flakes is drizzled over the top, creating a wonderful combination of creamy, savory, tangy, and mildly spicy flavors. Dried mint or sumac can be added for extra aroma and brightness.
Although shaping Manti traditionally takes some time, the result is well worth the effort. They are perfect for family dinners, special occasions, or anyone looking to explore authentic Turkish comfort food. Serve them warm with extra yogurt and spiced butter for a delicious homemade meal.
