Allow the shaped loaves to proof until slightly puffy.
Score the top with a sharp blade and bake in a preheated oven with steam.
Bake at 230–240°C (445–465°F) for 20–25 minutes, or until the crust is deep golden and crisp. Cool on a wire rack before slicing.
