Kakori Kebab Lucknowi Dishes
Kakori Kebab is a famous Lucknowi delicacy made with finely minced mutton, aromatic spices, and raw papaya for exceptional tenderness. Grilled on skewers until perfectly cooked, these soft and flavorful kebabs are a signature dish of Awadhi cuisine and are best served with Roomali Roti, mint chutney, and onion rings.
Cooking Method
- In a bowl, combine minced mutton, raw papaya paste, ginger-garlic paste, spices, ghee, and salt.
- Mix well and marinate for at least 3–4 hours or overnight for the best flavor.
- Shape the meat mixture evenly around greased skewers.
- Preheat a grill, oven, or tawa over medium heat.
- Cook the kebabs, turning occasionally and brushing with ghee until evenly browned and cooked through.
- Carefully remove the kebabs from the skewers.
- Serve hot with Roomali Roti, mint chutney, lemon wedges, and sliced onions.
