Cooking Method


  1.  Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season lightly with black pepper. 
  2.  In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, mirin, sesame oil, garlic, and grated ginger. 
  3.  Mix the cornstarch with the water to create a slurry and stir it into the sauce. 
  4.  Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. 
  5.  Place the salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for 4–5 minutes until golden. 
  6.  Carefully flip the salmon and cook for another 3–4 minutes. 
  7.  Pour the prepared teriyaki sauce into the skillet. 
  8.  Reduce the heat to medium and spoon the sauce over the salmon as it simmers. 
  9.  Cook for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the salmon with a glossy glaze. 
  10.  Remove from the heat and garnish with toasted sesame seeds and sliced spring onions. 
  11.  Serve immediately with steamed rice, noodles, or stir-fried vegetables.
