Indian Siddu
Prepare a soft dough using whole wheat flour, yeast, warm water, and salt. Allow it to ferment for 2–3 hours.
Mix crushed walnuts, roasted poppy seeds, or cooked lentils with spices to prepare the filling.
Roll the dough into a thick circle and spread the filling evenly.
Fold and seal the dough securely.
Place the stuffed dough in a steamer.
Steam for 25–30 minutes until fully cooked and soft.
Slice and serve hot with melted ghee, dal, or mutton curry.
