Filipino Chicken Adobo

 Filipino Chicken Adobo is the national dish of the Philippines, known for its rich, savory, and slightly tangy flavor. Chicken is slowly simmered in soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, bay leaves, and black pepper until tender and infused with delicious flavors. This comforting dish pairs perfectly with steamed rice and is loved for its simplicity and authentic taste. 

Cooking Method

 

Marinate the chicken in soy sauce and garlic for 30 minutes.

 Heat cooking oil in a large pan over medium heat. 

 Brown the marinated chicken on both sides. 

 Pour in the remaining marinade, vinegar, bay leaves, and black peppercorns. 

 Bring to a boil without stirring for 2–3 minutes. 

 Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 30–40 minutes until the chicken is tender. 

 Remove the lid and simmer for another 10 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. 

 Serve hot with steamed white rice.
