Lamb Shashlik Recipe | Tender Grilled Lamb Shashlik with Vegetables
Lamb Shashlik is a delicious grilled dish featuring tender cubes of marinated lamb skewered with colorful vegetables and cooked until perfectly charred and juicy. Popular across Central Asia, Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and South Asia, Lamb Shashlik is known for its smoky aroma, succulent meat, and bold blend of herbs and spices. Whether grilled over charcoal, cooked on a barbecue, or prepared in the oven, this recipe delivers restaurant-quality flavor with every bite.
The lamb is marinated in a mixture of yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, paprika, cumin, coriander, and herbs, which tenderizes the meat while infusing it with rich flavor. Bell peppers, onions, and tomatoes are threaded between the meat on skewers, adding sweetness and freshness as they roast. The result is juicy lamb with caramelized edges and perfectly grilled vegetables.
Lamb Shashlik is traditionally served with naan, flatbread, rice pilaf, roasted potatoes, grilled vegetables, or fresh salad. A side of mint yogurt sauce or garlic sauce complements the smoky grilled flavors beautifully.
Perfect for family barbecues, festive gatherings, or weekend dinners, this authentic Lamb Shashlik recipe is both impressive and easy to prepare.
