Protein-Packed Moong Dal Chilla is a healthy and delicious Indian breakfast recipe loaded with plant-based protein and essential nutrients. Made with soaked moong dal, fresh vegetables, and simple spices, this crispy chilla is perfect for weight management, fitness goals, and a balanced diet. It is quick to prepare, filling, and ideal for breakfast, lunch, or an evening snack. 

Cooking Method

 

  1. Drain the soaked moong dal and blend it into a smooth batter with little water. 
  2.  Transfer the batter to a bowl and mix in onion, green chili, carrot, coriander leaves, cumin seeds, and salt. 
  3.  Heat a non-stick pan or tawa and lightly grease it with oil. 
  4.  Pour a ladle of batter onto the pan and spread it evenly into a thin circle. 
  5.  Cook on medium flame until the bottom becomes golden and crispy. 
  6.  Flip the chilla and cook the other side for 2–3 minutes. 
  7.  Serve hot with green chutney or curd.
