Cooking Method
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wash and scrub the potatoes, then cut them into evenly sized fries.
- Soak the potato fries in cold water for 20–30 minutes to remove excess starch and help them become crispier.
- Drain the potatoes and pat them completely dry with clean kitchen towels or paper towels.
- Toss the fries with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
- Arrange the fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, turning the fries halfway through cooking.
- Increase the oven temperature to 450°F (230°C) and bake for another 5–8 minutes, until golden and crisp.
- While the fries are hot, toss them with the minced garlic, grated Parmesan, and chopped parsley.
- Sprinkle with Italian seasoning or red pepper flakes if desired.
- Serve immediately with garlic aioli, ranch dressing, ketchup, or your favorite dipping sauce.
