Crispy Potato Wedges Recipe | Easy Oven-Baked Seasoned Potato Wedges
Crispy Potato Wedges are golden, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned with a crisp exterior and soft, fluffy center. Made with simple pantry ingredients, these easy oven-baked wedges are a delicious alternative to traditional French fries and make a versatile side dish or snack. The potatoes are tossed with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper before being baked until beautifully golden and crisp. Serve them with ketchup, ranch dressing, garlic aioli, or your favorite dipping sauce. Perfect for burgers, grilled meats, family dinners, game nights, or casual snacking.
Cooking Method
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly. Cut each potato lengthwise into evenly sized wedges.
- Place the wedges in cold water and soak for 15–20 minutes to remove excess surface starch.
- Drain the potatoes and pat them completely dry with clean kitchen towels or paper towels.
- In a large bowl, toss the potato wedges with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, oregano, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Arrange the wedges in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, turning the wedges halfway through cooking.
- For extra crispiness, increase the oven temperature to 450°F (230°C) and bake for another 5–8 minutes until deeply golden.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley if desired.
- Serve hot with ketchup, ranch dressing, garlic aioli, or your favorite dipping sauce.
