Cooking Method


  1.  Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. 
  2.  Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft and translucent. 
  3.  Stir in the garlic and cook for 1 minute. 
  4.  Add the chopped tomatoes and tomato paste. 
  5.  Cook for 5 minutes until the tomatoes soften. 
  6.  Add the shredded cabbage and mix well. 
  7.  Stir in the carrot and bell pepper if using. 
  8.  Pour in the water or vegetable stock. 
  9.  Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika. 
  10.  Cover and simmer for 20–25 minutes, stirring occasionally. 
  11.  Cook until the cabbage is tender and the liquid has reduced slightly. 
  12.  Adjust seasoning to taste. 
  13.  Serve hot.
