Chicken Puff | Flaky Golden Chicken Puff Pastry Recipe
Chicken Puff is a delicious savory pastry made with flaky puff pastry wrapped around a flavorful, creamy chicken filling. Popular as a bakery-style snack in South Asia and many other parts of the world, these golden pastries are crisp on the outside, tender and savory inside, and perfect for breakfast, tea time, lunchboxes, parties, or quick snacks.
The filling combines shredded chicken with onion, garlic, ginger, green chilies, black pepper, and aromatic spices. A small amount of mayonnaise or cream can be added for extra richness and moisture. The seasoned chicken mixture is wrapped in ready-made puff pastry, brushed with egg wash, and baked until beautifully puffed and golden.
Chicken Puffs are best served warm and pair wonderfully with tomato ketchup, chili sauce, mint chutney, or a creamy dipping sauce. Using prepared puff pastry makes this recipe simple enough for busy days while still delivering the delicious texture of a bakery-fresh pastry.
