Cooking Method


  1.  Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. 
  2.  Add the beef cubes and brown them on all sides. 
  3.  Add the chopped onion and cook until softened. 
  4.  Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute. 
  5.  Add the chopped tomatoes and tomato paste. 
  6.  Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. 
  7.  Pour in the beef stock or water. 
  8.  Add paprika, salt, and black pepper. 
  9.  Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. 
  10.  Cover and simmer for 1½–2 hours, or until the beef is tender. 
  11.  Add the carrot and bell pepper during the last 20 minutes of cooking if using. 
  12.  Adjust seasoning to taste and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
