Cooking Method


  1.  Combine 1 cup water, vinegar, and sugar in a saucepan. 
  2.  Place over medium heat and stir until the sugar dissolves. 
  3.  Add the minced garlic and chopped chili peppers. 
  4.  Stir in the soy sauce. 
  5.  Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. 
  6.  In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water to create a slurry. 
  7.  Slowly pour the slurry into the simmering sauce while stirring constantly. 
  8.  Continue cooking for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens. 
  9.  Remove from heat and allow the sauce to cool. 
  10.  Transfer to a clean jar or bottle and refrigerate until ready to use.
