Cooking Method


  1.  Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. 
  2.  Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. 
  3.  Stir in the harissa paste, cumin, coriander, and paprika, cooking for another minute. 
  4.  Add the chickpeas and broth, then bring to a gentle boil. 
  5.  Reduce the heat and simmer for 20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. 
  6.  Lightly mash some of the chickpeas with the back of a spoon to create a slightly creamy texture. 
  7.  Stir in the lemon juice and season with salt and black pepper. 
  8.  Divide the bread cubes among serving bowls. 
  9.  Ladle the hot chickpea soup over the bread. 
  10.  Top each bowl with a soft-boiled or poached egg. 
  11.  Garnish with chopped parsley, a drizzle of olive oil, and additional harissa if desired. 
  12.  Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
