Paris-Brest is a classic French pastry made from choux dough shaped into a ring and filled with a rich, creamy filling, traditionally praline cream. This elegant dessert is known for its light, airy texture and indulgent flavor, making it a favorite in French patisserie. Its unique ring shape represents a bicycle wheel, inspired by the famous Paris-Brest-Paris race. 

The choux pastry is baked until golden and crisp on the outside while remaining hollow and soft inside. Once cooled, it is sliced and filled with a smooth, creamy filling that adds richness and sweetness. A dusting of powdered sugar or sliced almonds on top enhances both texture and presentation. 

Paris-Brest is perfect for special occasions, celebrations, or when you want to create a bakery-style dessert at home. Though it looks sophisticated, it can be made with simple ingredients and a bit of technique. 

This pastry offers a perfect balance of lightness and creaminess, delivering a luxurious and satisfying dessert experience. 

Cooking Method


  1.  Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). 
  2.  In a saucepan, heat water, milk, and butter until boiling. 
  3.  Add flour and stir quickly to form a dough. 
  4.  Remove from heat and let it cool slightly. 
  5.  Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. 
  6.  Pipe the dough into a ring shape on a baking tray. 
  7.  Sprinkle sliced almonds on top. 
  8.  Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and puffed. 
  9.  Let it cool completely, then slice horizontally. 
  10.  Fill with cream and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
