Cooking Method


  1.  Peel the bananas or plantains. 
  2.  Slice them diagonally into medium-thick pieces. 
  3.  Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. 
  4.  Add the butter if using and allow it to melt. 
  5.  Place the banana slices in the pan in a single layer. 
  6.  Fry for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown. 
  7.  Turn carefully to avoid breaking the slices. 
  8.  Continue cooking until both sides are caramelized. 
  9.  Remove and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil. 
  10.  Sprinkle with cinnamon if desired. 
  11.  Drizzle with honey for extra sweetness if preferred. 
  12.  Serve warm.
