Cooking Method
Wash and soak basmati rice for 20–30 minutes.
Marinate rabbit meat with yogurt, turmeric, chili powder, salt, and spices for at least 1 hour.
Heat oil or ghee in a pot and fry sliced onions until golden brown.
Add garlic and ginger, sauté until fragrant.
Add marinated rabbit and cook until partially done.
In another pot, boil rice until 70% cooked and drain.
Layer the partially cooked rice over the rabbit mixture.
Add fresh herbs and a little ghee on top.
Cover and cook on low heat (dum) for 20–25 minutes.
