 Palmier Cookies are elegant French pastries known for their delicate, crispy layers and beautiful heart-like shape. Also called “elephant ears,” these classic bakery treats are made from flaky puff pastry coated with sugar and baked until golden and caramelized. With a buttery texture and sweet crunch, Palmier Cookies are perfect for tea time, breakfast, or a delightful dessert. 

Cooking Method

 

  1. Roll out puff pastry into a thin rectangular sheet.
  2.  Sprinkle an even layer of sugar over the pastry surface. 
  3.  Fold both long sides of the pastry toward the center to create the classic palmier shape. 
  4.  Chill the rolled pastry briefly to firm it up. 
  5.  Slice into small pieces and arrange them on a lined baking tray. 
  6.  Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway if needed. 
  7.  Bake until golden brown, crispy, and caramelized, then cool before serving.
