Cooking Method
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Sauté the onion for 2–3 minutes until softened.
- Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in the chopped kimchi and cook for 3–4 minutes.
- Add the gochujang, kimchi juice, soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil. Mix well.
- Add the cooked rice and stir-fry until evenly coated with the spicy sauce.
- Cook for another 3–4 minutes, stirring frequently.
- If desired, fry the eggs separately until the whites are set and the yolks remain runny.
- Divide the fried rice among serving bowls and top with a fried egg.
- Garnish with sliced green onions, toasted sesame seeds, and roasted seaweed strips before serving.
