Peel 2 ripe bananas and mash them into a smooth paste.
Heat a pan and add the mashed bananas.
Cook on low flame, stirring continuously.
Add grated coconut and mix well.
Add jaggery or sugar and cook until the mixture thickens.
Stir until it leaves the sides of the pan.
Add cardamom powder and mix.
Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
Grease your hands and shape the mixture into small ladoos.
Garnish with chopped nuts if desired and let them set.
