Shikampuri Kabab is a royal Hyderabadi delicacy made with finely minced mutton, aromatic spices, and a flavorful stuffing of creamy yogurt and herbs. Known for its soft texture and rich taste, these kababs are shallow-fried until golden brown, making them a perfect appetizer for festivals, parties, or special family dinners. Serve them hot with mint chutney, onion rings, and lemon wedges.

Cooking Method

In a large bowl, combine the minced mutton, onion, ginger-garlic paste, green chilies, garam masala, and salt.
Mix thoroughly until the ingredients are well combined, then refrigerate for 30–45 minutes.
Divide the meat mixture into equal portions and flatten each portion into a small disc.
Place a small spoonful of hung curd in the center and carefully seal the edges to form a round kabab.
Heat a little oil or ghee in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat.
Shallow-fry the kababs for 3–4 minutes on each side until they become golden brown and fully cooked.
Remove the kababs and drain them on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with mint chutney, onion rings, and lemon wedges.
