Cooking Method


  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onions and cook until golden brown.
  3. Add garlic and ginger paste and sauté for a minute.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft and blended.
  5. Add turmeric, chili powder, cumin, and coriander powder.
  6. Cook the spices for a few minutes until aromatic.
  7. Add the catfish pieces and mix gently.
  8. Pour in water and bring to a boil.
  9. Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 10–15 minutes.
  10. Add coconut milk if desired and cook for another 5 minutes.
  11. Season with salt and garnish with fresh cilantro.
  12. Serve hot with rice or bread.
