Banana Dosa (Kele ka Dosa) is a soft, slightly sweet South Indian-style dosa made with ripe bananas, flour, and a hint of Cardamom. Unlike traditional dosa, this version does not require fermentation, making it quick and easy to prepare. It has a soft texture inside with lightly crisp edges, perfect for breakfast, kids’ meals, or a healthy snack.
Peel 2 ripe bananas and mash them into a smooth paste.
In a bowl, add rice flour or wheat flour to the mashed bananas.
Add a little sugar or jaggery (optional) and mix well.
Pour water or milk gradually to make a smooth, pourable batter.
Add a pinch of cardamom powder for flavor.
Heat a non-stick pan or dosa tawa and lightly grease it.
Pour a ladle of batter and spread gently into a small dosa.
Cook on medium flame until the bottom turns golden.
Flip and cook the other side for 1–2 minutes.
Serve hot with honey, jaggery syrup, or coconut chutney.
