Sweet Potato Fries are a delicious and healthier alternative to traditional French fries, featuring naturally sweet potatoes seasoned with aromatic spices and baked or fried until perfectly crispy. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, these fries offer the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and smoky flavors. They're an excellent side dish for burgers, grilled chicken, sandwiches, or can be enjoyed as a satisfying snack with your favorite dipping sauces like garlic aioli, chipotle mayo, or honey mustard.
Cooking Method
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) or heat oil for deep frying.
- Pat the sweet potato strips completely dry.
- Toss the fries with cornstarch until lightly coated.
- Add the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper, and toss well.
- Arrange the fries in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking tray.
- Bake for 15 minutes, flip the fries, then bake for another 10–15 minutes until golden and crispy. (If frying, cook at 350°F (175°C) for 5–6 minutes until crispy.)
