Teriyaki Marinade
In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, mirin, brown sugar, and sesame oil.
Add the minced ginger and garlic.
Stir well until the brown sugar is completely dissolved.
Mix in the sesame seeds, if using, for extra flavor and texture.
Pour the marinade over chicken, beef, pork, seafood, or vegetables, ensuring they are evenly coated.
Cover and refrigerate for 1–4 hours to allow the flavors to penetrate.
Grill, bake, or pan-fry until fully cooked, brushing with extra marinade during cooking if desired.
